1kg homemade bread: I taught all my friends how to make fluffy bread

Hi, everyone, today we’re going to learn how to make homemade bread using simple ingredients. So grab your pen and paper to jot down the ingredients, then follow the complete preparation method.

How to Make 1kg homemade bread

Always wanted to bake homemade bread but thought it was hard? With this easy recipe, you’ll have a 1 kg loaf, soft inside with a golden crust and irresistible aroma, in under 2 hours. You don’t need to go to a nearby restaurant or nearby food place. Here you find Pretty food, Meal prep and without having to buy online cooking classes.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups warm water (20 oz) – (600 ml)
  • 8 ½ cups sifted all-purpose flour (divided into 2 parts) – (1 kg)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Activating the Yeast
First, in a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and dry yeast. Stir well until the yeast is completely dissolved.

Initial Dough Mix
Then, add the oil and half of the sifted flour. Mix thoroughly until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough.

Incorporating the Flour and Salt
Next, add the remaining flour and salt. Mix until the dough starts to gain consistency.

Kneading the Dough
After that, transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. If needed, adjust the texture by adding a little more flour.

First Dough Rest
Then, place the dough back into a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap and a clean towel. Let it rest for about 30 minutes in a warm place until it doubles in size.

Folding the Dough
After this, dampen your fingertips, turn the dough, and fold the sides toward the center. Turn the dough upside down, cover again, and let it rest for another hour.

Shaping the Dough
Next, take the dough out of the bowl, knead it lightly, and shape it into a ball. Let it rest for 20 minutes under plastic wrap. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, then roll it up like a log to form a loaf shape.

Final Resting
Place the shaped loaf into a glass baking dish lined with parchment paper. Cover it with a clean towel and let it rest for another 40 minutes.

Scoring and Baking
Finally, score the surface of the loaf with a sharp blade. Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C) and bake for about 30–35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.

Finishing
Remove the bread from the oven, let it cool slightly, and enjoy your freshly baked homemade bread!
