- 1 packet (12 g / 0.42 oz) unflavored gelatin
- 50 ml (3 tbsp) filtered water
- 1 ½ cups (320 ml / 11 oz) filtered water
Cheese Cream Layer:
- 395 g (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 200 g (7 oz) cream cheese
- 50 g (1.8 oz) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 packet (12 g / 0.42 oz) unflavored gelatin
- 400 g (14 oz) heavy cream
- ¼ cup (60 ml/ 2 oz) filtered water
Instructions:
Goiabada Layer:
Organize all ingredients. In a medium saucepan, combine the 320 ml of water and diced goiabada.
Cook over medium heat, stirring with a wooden spoon, until the goiabada melts completely. Allow it to simmer on low heat.
In a small bowl, combine the gelatin and 50 ml of water. Stir with a fork to dissolve and hydrate (5 minutes).
Melt the hydrated gelatin in microwave until fully dissolved, then mix it into the melted goiabada.
Pour the goiabada mixture into a lightly oiled mold and refrigerate for 5–6 hours or until set.
Cheese Cream Layer:
Hydrate and dissolve the gelatin in ¼ cup (60 ml) of water following the package instructions.
Melt the gelatin, then add it to a blender along with the condensed milk, cream cheese, Parmesan, and heavy cream. Blend for about 3 minutes until smooth.
Remove the set goiabada from the fridge, pour the cheese cream mixture over it, and refrigerate for another 6 hours or until fully firm.
Serve:
Carefully remove the dessert from the mold. Decorate as desired (optional) and serve chilled.
