How to Make Different Potato Pie
This potato pie is a traditional recipe, rich in flavor and loved for its irresistible texture. You don’t need cooking classes or costly meal delivery services to prepare something delicious at home. With a bit of planning and our detailed meal prep guide, you can create amazing dishes with confidence and ease.
Recipe Ingredients:
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and sliced into medium-thick rounds
- 4 large eggs
- 7 oz table cream or heavy cream (200g)
- 2.5 oz shredded mozzarella cheese (70g)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley, chopped, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt and paprika, to taste
Instructions:
First, prepare the potatoes: in a large bowl, toss the potato slices with salt and paprika, making sure each slice is well coated with the seasoning.
Then, heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Next, fry the potatoes until golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes on each side.
After that, prepare the egg mixture: in another bowl, beat the eggs and add the chopped cherry tomatoes, green onions, and heavy cream. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the potatoes are golden on one side, flip them carefully. Afterward, pour the egg mixture over the potatoes.
Then, reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it cook for about 15 minutes, or until the eggs are completely set.
Soon after, sprinkle mozzarella cheese and parsley over the top and allow it to cook for a few minutes until the cheese melts and becomes lightly golden.
Finally, serve the dish hot, straight from the skillet. It makes a wonderful breakfast, a cozy lunch, or even a light dinner.
