How to Make Brownie with 4 Ingredients

This brownie is a tasty and healthy option, perfect for various diets. Try it and see how something simple can be amazing. See below the list of all ingredients and required quantities. And then, a very complete preparation method with details of the recipe.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • ¼ cup of cocoa powder (30 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • Nutmeg or cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

First, select a very ripe banana, as it will provide natural sweetness. Mash it thoroughly with a fork until smooth and lump-free.

Then, add the cocoa powder to the mashed banana and stir well, making sure it’s fully combined.

Next, crack the egg directly into the bowl with the banana and cocoa. Add a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon (whichever you prefer), along with a teaspoon of baking powder. Mix everything until the batter is smooth and consistent.

After that, pour the mixture into a glass baking dish. If you’d like to remove it from the dish later, lightly grease it with coconut oil.

Soon after, bake it in a preheated oven at 356 °F (180 °C) for about 10 to 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can cook it in the microwave for around 3 minutes. Use a toothpick to check if it’s fully cooked — it should come out clean.

Finally, if you don’t have any dairy restrictions, you can enhance the flavor by adding pieces of dark chocolate (with a high cocoa content) on top of the batter before baking.

Tips:

  • Ingredient substitutions: If you’re sensitive to cocoa, you can use carob powder instead.
  • Sweetener: For added sweetness, use natural sweeteners like stevia or xylitol, adjusting to your taste.
