Recipe ingredients:
- 500 g of potatoes, peeled, cubed, and cooked (approx. 17.6 oz or about 3 ¼ cups mashed)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour/wheat flour (about 60 g or 2.1 oz)
- 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese (approx. 7 oz or 2 cups)
Instructions:
Start by boiling the potatoes until soft. Drain well, then mash them thoroughly using a fork or potato masher until smooth and lump-free.
While the potatoes are still warm, add the shredded mozzarella and a pinch of salt to taste. Mix well until the cheese is evenly distributed.
Gradually add the flour, mixing with your hands until you form a soft, smooth dough that holds its shape easily.
Take portions of the dough and shape them into patties, like small burgers or rounds—whichever you prefer.
Heat a lightly greased nonstick skillet over low heat. Cook the patties until golden on one side, then flip to brown the other.
Once fully cooked and crispy outside, transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. Serve with mayonnaise, ketchup or other sauces.
