Instructions:
Place the egg whites in a bowl and beat until they form stiff peaks. Add the egg yolks one at a time, continuing to beat. Gradually add the sugar, mixing until well incorporated.
Gradually add the cornstarch, gently folding it in with a whisk. Optionally, add lemon zest for extra flavor. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured baking pan.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
