- 4 cups (500 grams/17 oz) all-purpose flour (wheat flour)
- 1 cup (250 ml/8.45 fl oz) warm milk
- ¼ cup (50 grams/1.7 oz) sugar
- 2 teaspoons (10 grams/0.35 oz) salt
- 2 teaspoons (10 grams/0.35 oz) baking powder
- ¼ cup (50 grams/1.7 oz) butter, at room temperature
- 1 egg
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix the warm milk, sugar, and baking powder. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
Add the all-purpose flour, salt, butter, and egg to the yeast mixture. Mix everything well until you form a smooth dough.
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes elastic and smooth.
Divide the dough into small, even-sized balls and place them on a greased baking sheet.
Cover the dough balls with a clean cloth and let them rest for about 30 minutes or until they double in size. Once they rise, brush the tops with milk.
