Recipe ingredients:

Chocolate Dough Ingredients:

  • 2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups powdered milk
  • 395g (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Filling Ingredients :

  • 100g (3.5 oz) unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 395g (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter

How to Prepare the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine all the dough ingredients and mix with a spatula. Once combined, knead the mixture with your hands until you get a firm dough. It should be stiff and slightly sticky but moldable — that’s when it’s ready to roll out.

How to Prepare the Filling:

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all filling ingredients. Cook for about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let it cool completely before using.

How to Assemble This Delight:

Place two large layers of plastic wrap on a clean surface. Flatten the dough with your hands, cover it with two more sheets of plastic wrap, and use a rolling pin to roll it into a rectangle.

Roll the dough out evenly — not too thick, not too thin.

Spread the cooled coconut filling over ¾ of the dough, leaving the edges clean.

Use the plastic wrap to help you roll the dough tightly into a log.

Wrap the log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours (or place in the freezer to speed up the process).

Once firm, unwrap, slice with a sharp knife, and serve.
