Recipe ingredients:
- 500g of all-purpose flour/wheat flour (approx. 4 cups or 17.6 oz)
- 10g of dry active yeast/bread yeast (1 packet or about 0.35 oz)
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 300ml of warm water (about 10.1 fl oz)
- 2 tablespoons of oil
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, yeast, and sugar. Add the salt, warm water, and oil, stirring until a soft dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough back into the bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rest for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Shape the dough as desired and place it in a greased and floured baking pan. Cover again and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the crust feels firm.
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve warm or at room temperature.
