Recipe Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk (8 fl oz / 240ml)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour (about 12.7 oz / 360g)
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar (about 1.3 oz / 38g)
- 1 packet (or 2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast (0.35 oz / 10g)
- 3 tablespoons butter (about 1.4 oz / 42g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or coconut oil (about 1 oz / 30ml)
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
First, place the sugar, yeast, butter, oil, milk, and eggs in a blender. Blend everything until smooth and well combined.
Then, pour the mixture into a large bowl and gradually add the all-purpose flour. Next, mix well with a spoon, and right after that, knead the dough with clean hands for about 10 minutes, until it becomes soft and smooth.
After that, place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rest for about 40 to 50 minutes. After the resting time, you’ll notice the dough has risen significantly.
Then, transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll it out gently. Divide it into 12 equal pieces. Now, shape each piece into a small ball and place them on a glass baking dish greased with butter or oil.
Cover again with plastic wrap or a clean towel and let them rest for another hour. (If you prefer, you can shape the dough differently or use other types of baking pans.)
To finish, brush the buns with beaten egg to give them a beautiful shine. Lastly, bake in a preheated oven at 356 °F (180 °C) for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
