How to Make Tapioca Starch Biscuit in the Airfryer

Making tapioca biscuits in the AirFryer is easy and results in a light, tasty snack—perfect with coffee or as a quick bite during the day. See below the list of all ingredients and required quantities. And then, a very complete preparation method with details of the recipe.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 whole eggs
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (1.5 fl oz / 45ml)
  • 3/4 cup water (6.8 fl oz / 200ml)
  • 2 cups sweet or sour tapioca starch (about 8.5 oz / 240g)
  • 1 tablespoon salt (0.5 oz / 15g)

Instructions:

First, add the olive oil, water, and salt to a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Then, place the tapioca starch (sweet starch) in a bowl. Next, pour the boiling mixture from the pan over the starch to scald it.

After that, mix well until everything is fully incorporated. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition, until the dough is sticky but firm — not too runny.

If needed, add one more egg and mix with your hands until the dough reaches the ideal consistency. Next, with your hands greased with oil, shape small portions of the dough into balls or sticks.

Afterwards, place the shaped pieces onto the preheated and greased air fryer basket. Then, bake at 356 °F (180 °C) for 8 to 15 minutes, depending on how golden you want your biscuits to be.

Finally, carefully remove the biscuits from the air fryer. Lastly, serve and enjoy this simple and delicious tapioca starch biscuit made in the air fryer.

Wrapping up, this is a quick and tasty snack for any time of the day!

Tips:

Don’t overcrowd: Avoid placing the biscuits too close together or stacking them in the air fryer. This ensures the hot air circulates properly and the biscuits bake evenly without becoming soggy.

Flavor variations: You can add dried herbs, grated cheese, or garlic powder to the dough for different flavor options.

Watch the first batch: Since air fryer models vary in power, it’s important to monitor the first batch closely to determine the perfect baking time.
