How to Make Cream Cheese Cake

A quick dessert made with cream, smooth cream cheese, and a buttery crunchy topping. Ready in under ten minutes and perfect for any occasion. You don’t need cooking classes or costly meal delivery services to prepare something delicious at home. With a bit of planning and our detailed meal prep guide, you can create amazing dishes with confidence and ease.

Recipe Ingredients:

For the Custard Layer:

  • 250 ml (1 cup) milk
  • 1 whole egg
  • 120 ml (½ cup) water
  • 4 tablespoons flour (about 65 grams)
  • 100 g (½ cup) sugar

For the Crumbly Layer:

  • 55 g (¼ cup) butter
  • 65 g (½ cup) flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Pinch of salt

For the Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 200 g (about 7 oz) cream cheese

For Garnishing:

  • Icing sugar for dusting

Instructions:

In a microwave-safe bowl, add 250 ml of milk, 100 g of sugar, 4 tablespoons of flour, 1 whole egg, and 120 ml of water.
Whisk everything thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on high for 2 minutes.
Remove, stir well, and microwave again for another 2 minutes.
At this point, the mixture should have thickened to a custard-like consistency.
If needed, microwave for an extra minute until it reaches the desired thickness.
Set the custard aside to cool slightly.


2. Make the Crumb Topping

Instructions:
In a separate bowl, combine 55 g of butter, 65 g of flour, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and a small pinch of salt.
Use your fingertips to mix until the texture becomes coarse and crumbly.
Evenly sprinkle this crumb mixture over the cooled custard layer.

3. Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer

Instructions:
In another bowl, mix 200 g of cream cheese with 2 egg yolks until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Pour this cream cheese layer evenly over the crumb topping.


4. Microwave All Layers Together

Instructions:
Place the full dish back into the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute.
Remove and allow it to cool slightly before serving.


5. Add Final Garnish

Instructions:
Once cooled, dust the top with powdered sugar for a sweet finish and a more polished appearance.
