- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 8 cups (2 liters) whole milk
- 2 ½ cups granulated sugar
Instructions:
First, pour the milk into a small saucepan, bring it to a boil over medium heat, then turn off the heat and set it aside.
Next, in a separate pan, add the sugar and heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until it turns into a glossy caramel.
Gradually add the boiled milk to the caramel, stirring after each addition, until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture becomes smooth.
Dissolve the cornstarch in a small amount of milk, then pour it into the pan. Stir continuously until the mixture starts to boil and thickens.
Finally, the mixture is ready when you can see the bottom of the pan as you stir. Turn off the heat, let it cool, and it’s ready to serve.
