Recipe ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups of sugar (400 g / 14 oz)
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour/wheat flour (240 g / 8.5 oz)
- 1 cup of chocolate powder (like Nesquik or similar) (100 g / 3.5 oz)
- 1 cup of milk (240 ml / 8 fl oz)
- ½ cup of vegetable oil (120 ml / 4 fl oz)
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder (15 g / 0.5 oz)
Instructions:
In a blender, combine the eggs, sugar, oil, milk, and chocolate drink mix. Blend until smooth.
Slowly add the flour while blending until the mixture is fully combined.
Finally, add the baking powder and mix gently with a spoon or spatula—do not overmix.
Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool, remove from the pan, and serve as-is or top it with your favorite chocolate glaze, ganache, or frosting.
Quick Tips:
- Want it extra soft? Add 1 tablespoon of melted margarine to the batter.
- For a richer chocolate flavor, use unsweetened cocoa powder instead of a drink mix.
- Top with chocolate sprinkles, shaved chocolate, or coconut flakes for a special finish.
