- 5 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
- 10 tablespoons granulated sugar (about 4.4 oz / 125 g)
- 15 tablespoons cornstarch (about 4.2 oz / 120 g)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 °F (180 °C). In a stand mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Then, add the egg yolks one by one, continuing to beat until fully incorporated.
Gradually add the sugar, then the cornstarch, mixing well after each addition until the batter is smooth, airy, and light.
Grease a cake pan with butter and pour the batter into it. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden on top and firm to the touch.
Let it cool completely before removing from the pan and serving.
