- 1 1/4 cups sugar – (250 g)
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour – (350 g)
- 5 tablespoons butter (about 2.5 oz) – (70 g)
- 1 cup milk – (240 ml)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
Instructions:
First, in a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until you achieve a light and fluffy cream.
Then, sift the flour, baking powder, and salt. Next, add these dry ingredients to the egg and sugar mixture. Gently fold until fully incorporated.
After that, heat the milk with the butter and vanilla sugar (or extract) in a saucepan. Stir until the butter is completely melted, being careful not to let the mixture boil.
