- 8 ripe bananas, mashed (800 g | 28.2 oz)
- 1 cups of sugar (200 g | 7 oz)
Instructions:
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, add the sugar and heat over low heat. Allow it to melt slowly, stirring occasionally, until it turns into a golden, glossy caramel.
Once the caramel reaches the perfect consistency, carefully add the mashed bananas. Stir thoroughly with a wooden spoon or heat-resistant spatula to blend the banana into the caramel.
Continue cooking and stirring for about 5 to 7 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Remove from heat and transfer the banana mixture into a glass dish or heat-safe container. Spread it out evenly and let it cool to room temperature.
