Meal Prep: Homemade Dulce de Leche
Learn a Dessert Without Dairy and Without Gelatin. You don’t need cooking classes or costly meal delivery services to prepare something delicious at home.
Recipe ingredients:
- 400 grams (14.1 oz) of milk powder
- 1 kilogram (35.2 oz) of sugar
- 200 ml (6.8 fl oz) of filtered water
Instructions:
Start by gathering the three ingredients. In a saucepan, mix together the sugar and the milk powder. Then add the water and stir well until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir continuously for about 10 minutes, or until the mixture turns a light brown color. Do not stop stirring until it reaches the right consistency.
Once ready, turn off the heat and keep stirring for another 5 minutes. Then, pour the mixture into a greased medium-sized square pan (use margarine or butter).
Let it cool for about 15 minutes. Once firm, cut into squares and serve as a sweet snack or afternoon treat.
