How to Make Homemade Rice Bread
Rice Bread is a healthy recipe that pleases all tastes. With a soft texture and a light flavor, it’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or as a side for meals. See below the list of all ingredients and required quantities. And then, a very complete preparation method with details of the recipe.
Note: The measuring cup is 250 ml (8.45 fl oz).
Dough Preparation:
First, in a bowl, place two cups (250 ml each) of uncooked rice.
Then, cover the rice with 1 liter and 300 ml of water and let it soak for eight hours at room temperature. To retain moisture, you can cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
After that, drain all the water and rinse the rice well to remove excess starch. Next, tap the rice lightly to ensure it is well-drained and let it rest in the bowl for a while.
Afterwards, grease a nonstick baking dish with oil. If you don’t have a nonstick dish, grease it with oil and sprinkle some rice flour.
Next, in a blender, add 250 ml of warm water, 50 ml of oil, three teaspoons of sugar, 1/2 a level teaspoon of salt, and a 10-gram packet of instant dry yeast.
Then, add the drained rice.
Blend the ingredients for about five minutes until the rice is well-ground and the mixture reaches a porridge-like consistency.
Fermentation:
Then, pour the batter into a greased glass dish. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let the batter rise for 30 to 40 minutes until it doubles in size. This resting time is crucial for achieving soft bread.
Once the dough has risen, it’s ready to bake.
Baking and Finalizing the Recipe:
First, preheat the oven to 356 °F (180 °C) for about 10 minutes.
Then, place the bread in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 45 to 50 minutes, or until it turns golden.
Finally, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool completely before removing it from the dish. This will ensure the texture remains intact.
To finish, carefully remove the bread, using a spatula along the edges of the glass dish if necessary.
Now your rice bread is ready to enjoy! It has a beautiful golden color and an irresistible aroma. Even without eggs, milk, or wheat flour, this bread is soft and delicious.
