- 1 cup (7 oz / 200 g) sugar
- 1 tablespoon (0.35 oz / 10 g) cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon (0.5 fl oz / 15 ml) fresh lemon juice
- ¼ cup (1.75 oz / 50 g) sugar, for coating
Instructions:
Peel the bananas, slice them into rounds, and place them in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Transfer the banana puree to a medium saucepan. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the bottom of the pan (this takes about 15–20 minutes).
Lightly grease a small baking dish or loaf pan (around 8×5 inches / 20×13 cm). Spread the mixture evenly into the dish.
Let it cool slightly at room temperature, then refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours, or until firm.
Cut into small squares or bars. Roll each piece in the reserved ¼ cup sugar to coat.
Serve cold or at room temperature — perfect for an afternoon snack.
