Ingredients:
For the Popsicle:
- 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
- 1 cup (240 ml) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup (45 g) cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (90 g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
For the Chocolate Coating:
- 1 cup (180 g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) coconut oil
Instructions:
Prepare the Popsicles:
In a saucepan, heat the whole milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
Add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate and stir until completely melted.
Add the cocoa powder, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture is smooth.
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and insert sticks. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until fully firm.
Prepare the Chocolate Coating:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chopped semi-sweet chocolate with the coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until fully melted and smooth.
Let the mixture cool slightly, but not to the point of hardening.
Finish the Popsicles:
Remove the popsicles from the molds.
Dip each popsicle into the melted chocolate mixture, coating it completely. Let the excess drip off.
Place the popsicles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and return them to the freezer for an additional 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate coating to harden.
Serve:
Remove from the freezer and serve immediately. Enjoy!
