How to Make Creamy Passion Fruit Ice Cream

Recipe Ingredients:
For the Base:
- 500ml passion fruit concentrate (16.9 fl oz)
- 2 cartons of heavy cream (13.5 fl oz / 400ml total)
- 2 cartons of sweetened condensed milk (27.8 oz / 790g total)
For the Topping:
- ¼ cup milk (2 fl oz / 60ml)
- 1 carton of heavy cream (6.7 fl oz / 200ml)
- 200g semi-sweet chocolate (7 oz)
Instructions:
Base:
First, in a blender, add the condensed milk, heavy cream, and passion fruit concentrate. Then, blend everything for about 4 minutes until the ingredients are well combined.
Next, pour this mixture into a 22 cm (8.6 inches) mold, lightly greased with a thin layer of oil. After that, place it in the freezer and let it chill for at least 6 hours.
Afterward, remove it from the freezer and let it rest for about 10 minutes before unmolding. Right after that, carefully transfer it to a glass dish.
Topping:
First, place the semi-sweet chocolate in a bowl and melt it in the microwave, heating it in 30-second intervals, or, if you prefer, use a double boiler.
Then, add the heavy cream and milk, stirring well until you achieve a smooth and shiny cream.
Lastly, pour this topping over the entire surface of the frozen dessert, covering it completely. To finish, the chocolate ganache will harden automatically.
Serve immediately and enjoy this delicious passion fruit dessert.
