How to Make Homemade Banana Yogurt

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 ⅔ cups coconut milk – (400 ml)
  • 4 large, very ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon organic granulated sugar

Instructions:

First, start by peeling the bananas and removing any spoiled parts. They should be very ripe to ensure a sweet and pleasant flavor.

Then, place the bananas in a blender along with the coconut milk. If the coconut milk has separated, stir it well before adding.

Next, add the organic granulated sugar, which will aid the fermentation process by feeding the microorganisms.

Blend everything until you have a smooth, creamy mixture with a pleasant aroma.

After that, pour the mixture into a jar or container with a lid, leaving some space at the top to allow for safe fermentation.

Now, place the container in a spot protected from direct light and insects. The fermentation time can vary from 1 to 3 days, depending on the room temperature.

Stir the yogurt twice a day to help distribute the microorganisms.

After a couple of days, taste it to check if it has reached the desired flavor and consistency.
