Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 cup of milk (8 fl oz)
  • 1/4 cup of oil (2 fl oz)
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour (8.8 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • Margarine and oil for greasing the pan
  • All-purpose flour for dusting

Suggested Fillings:

  • Sliced sausage (like pepperoni or kielbasa)
  • Sliced tomato and onion
  • Sliced mozzarella cheese
  • Corn, peas, cream cheese, or shredded chicken

Instructions:

1. Preparing the Dough
First, blend the eggs, milk, oil, salt, and sugar in a blender until the mixture is smooth. Then, gradually add the flour, blending continuously until the dough is uniform. After that, quickly mix in the baking powder, just enough to incorporate it into the dough.

2. Assembling the Dish
Start by greasing a round glass dish with margarine and oil, then lightly dust it with flour. Next, pour half of the batter into the dish, spread your chosen filling evenly on top, and cover with the remaining batter. After that, smooth the surface and, finally, decorate with slices of mozzarella cheese.

3. Baking
Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C) and bake for about 30 minutes or until the pie turns golden. After baking, let it cool slightly before removing from the dish and serving.
